National Referee Experience
Nearly Three Decades Officiating National Karate Competition
Corey Green has spent 29 years teaching martial arts while also serving as an active national referee with USA Karate for 28 of the organization’s 32 years, officiating over 300 tournaments and high-level competitions across the United States.
From 2022 through 2024, he also served as an instructor for USA Karate, helping train and develop referees within the national governing body for Olympic-style karate in the United States.
He is also a National Champion and medalist in 2021, 2022, and 2023, bringing both competitive and officiating experience to the students he trains.
This experience allows students to train under an instructor who understands the sport from the perspective of both athlete development and national-level judging.

Olympic Pathway Competition
Training Connected to the Olympic Karate Pathway
Students at Green’s Karate train using structured methods aligned with competitions sanctioned by USA Karate, the official governing body for Olympic-style karate in the United States.
Over the years, the school has helped develop athletes who compete in national-level events, demonstrating that the same disciplined training used for beginners can also prepare students for high-level competition.
Why This Matters for Students
Most martial arts schools focus only on local classes.
At Green’s Karate, instruction is guided by experience at multiple levels of the sport — teaching, athlete development, national competition, and national officiating.
This perspective allows students to learn karate in a structured environment that emphasizes technical skill, discipline, confidence, and long-term development.
Whether a student trains for personal growth, self-defense or competitive goals, the same standards of instruction apply to every class.
This gives students a deeper understanding of traditional karate while building discipline, confidence, and real technical skill.
